Rebecca's Top 10 Most Anticipated New Releases of 2020

Top 10 Most Anticipated New Releases for 2020

In celebration of the new year and in anticipation of the many great adventures instore, I bring you my most anticipated new releases announced so far by some of my favorite authors. Whether they are continuations of a series or the beginning of a brand new one I expect that they will end up at the top of my list of favorites for the year.

The first on this list is doubly exciting. Not only is it the finale of the Adamsons All-Boy Academy series, but the release of this one sets up for the Burberry/Adamsons crossover novel Orientation later this year.

The Forever Crew by C. M. Stunich (RH HSB/Suspense) 1/24
If you need to catch up you can grab books 1 &2 now. The Secret Girl, Ruthless Boys
Blurb:
The secret is out.

I’m officially dating the entire Student Council, but that’s not the only thing that’s outside the norm at Adamson All-Boys Academy.

Nah, I think the murders are a bit more remarkable, although my dad might disagree. He’s not exactly thrilled with my fake fiancĂ© or the other four boys that make my pulse race.

With two current students dead, and three attackers on my tail, it looks like I’m next. The fact that I’m a target isn’t in question, but are the people closest to me involved somehow? Everyone’s a suspect—my family, my classmates, even my new boyfriends.

Okay, that’s it. I’m going to do it: I’m going to attend Adamson in a fucking skirt, and kick some ass.

Follow the clues, catch the bad guys, secure my future. Because, murder-mysteries aside, this is my final year of high school, and nothing lasts forever, right? Not even a forever crew.

***THE FOREVER CREW is a 120,000 word lighthearted reverse harem/high school/murder-mystery romance novel with a bully/suspense twist. This is book three of three in the series (with a fourth book crossover coming, titled "Orientation", that connects this series with my "Rich Boys of Burberry Prep" series). Contains foul language and sexual scenes; any sex featured is consensual.

While I am still holding out hope that we may see book 3 of Ashley Jade's Complicated Parts series this year. The rest of the Royal Hearts Academy Series is sure to hold me over.

Ruthless Knight by A. Jade (NA/HS) 1/23
If you want to read book 1, not necessary but encouraged, grab Cruel Prince Now
Blurb:
Welcome to their kingdom.

Cole Covington is the most popular heartbreaker at school.
Every guy wants to be him and every girl wants to screw him.
Except me.
His devastatingly good looks, golden arm, and flirty smiles don't do it for me anymore...because I know what's lurking underneath the star quarterback's gorgeous armor.

At least I thought I did.

Sometimes the most beautiful people...hide the ugliest truths.
And sometimes the only way to save someone...
is to walk beside them through hell.

Sawyer Church is the bible-thumping nerd of Royal Hearts Academy.
Girls pick on her and guys don't notice her.
Except me.
Sweet, curvy, and sarcastic, she's impossible to ignore.
No matter how much I try.
Everyone at school has her pegged as the chubby, Jesus loving geek, but unlike them—Sawyer's real and never pretends to be someone she's not.

Until I ask her to be my fake girlfriend.

Sometimes the most beautiful souls...hide the greatest pain.
And sometimes the only way to save someone...
is to fight for them.

This is book 2 in the Royal Hearts Academy series. Please note: Although this is Cole and Sawyer's book, Cruel Prince (Jace and Dylan’s book) should be read first for a better understanding of the family dynamic.

WARNING: Royal Hearts Academy is a New Adult/High School series of standalones filled with drama, a touch of angst, and boys who are bad to the bone. The characters are flawed. If you're looking for a safe, sweet romance with nice heroes and heroines who are perfect all the time, this series is NOT for you.

I actually had the opportunity to beta read this book. At one point the project was put on hold and it broke my heart. I am so glad that the author picked it back up and finished it. The themes and content are so unique and authenticly portrayed. I can't wait for more from this series.

My Hell by J. Haney (Contemporary)1/28
Cover Reveal Jan. 14

Blurb:
One night. One kiss and my world went to shit. Shane Hellion or Hell, as I’ve come to call him, has been my best friend for three years. It started off as a working relationship, then evolved into a partnership. Now? Christ, what am I gonna do? I have a little girl to think about. I can’t just- do whatever.

Between the ex breathing down my back and my house falling apart, how am I supposed to navigate what he wants? What do I want? I want something that can help me escape, my hell.

C. M. Stunich is my favorite new to me author of 2019. I have barely scratched the surface of her backlog and have plans to dig into it this year. I love retellings of old favorites so I am super excited for the Wicked Wizards of Oz Series.

Very Bad Wizards by C. M. Stunich (RH/NA Fantasy) 2/1
Blurb:
My little dog, Toto, just shifted into a man. A gorgeous, chiseled beast of a man. That was about thirty seconds before the storm hit and he clutched me against his naked body while wild winds raged all around us.

Yeah, we're seriously not in fucking Kansas anymore.
There are male witches with toothy smiles, a man with a tin arm, and some wizards. Some very, very bad wizards--and they're all interested in me. Romantically. How ... interesting.

Oh, and then there's Dorothy, the girl who's claiming that she's the good guy, and I'm the bad one, all because the power to control storms sleeps in my fingertips.

My name is Ozora, Oz for short, and I'm a girl from nowhere, destined for somewhere.

VERY BAD WIZARDS (Book 1 of 3 in the "Wicked Wizards of Oz" series) -- is a full-length reverse-harem/new adult/fantasy romance novel, a gritty retelling of "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz". Don't expect a children's tale; these characters are nothing like their more innocent counterparts. This book contains: drugs, cursing, violence, sex ... and love found in the darkest shadows.

They’re our bullies.
They’re the class of 2020.

Conclusion:

This is just the tip of the TBR iceberg... If I get to even a fraction of the books I want to read this year I'm going to need to read in my sleep. I already utilize audio while I'm working when I can, but I want to read more. I hit my goal this year and it wasn't as difficult as I thought. There were even weeks I didn't read at all. I think the key is reading books that hook me in the first 10% because then I invest and devour them.
