The Fate of Crowns by Rebecca L. Garcia ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Rebecca)

With my brother’s death came the crown and all the trappings that accompany it. Now, my father—the most dangerous man in Magaelor—seeks to control my future.

But fate has other plans.

Thrown into mer-filled waters, I’m dragged into the rival kingdom of Berovia. Surrounded by those who murdered my brother and wished my entire family dead, I must find my way back to my kingdom. There, a marriage between myself and the dark fae prince could bring peace to a century’s old division between the fae and sorcerers.
But dark revelations and deadly lies threaten to destroy my destiny. I must make the choice between my duty, family, and heart before it's too late.

Will I allow myself to become the exalted Queen of everything? Or be reduced to a cautionary tale as the shattered princess of nothing?

The Fate of Crowns is a young adult fantasy, perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas, Laura Sebastian, Holly Black and Kendare Blake.

“An imaginative, rollercoaster ride that has turned into one of the best young adult novels I've read in a decade. It's magnificent." - Apryl Baker, author of The Ghost Files

Mr. Heartbreak by Jordan Marie ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Rebecca)

Everybody envies Big Mike Huntington.
He prowls the halls of Black Mountain Academy like he owns them.
But since he’s from one of the wealthiest families in Black Mountain, he can.

He’s famous—or infamous, and not for his baseball skills like his brother—currently the Major League’s media darling.

On campus, Big Mike is notorious for the giant bat he swings—the one between his legs, not on the field.
And every girl swears Big Mike definitely lives up to the hype.

Mike owns it, embracing his reputation.

Until Violet Raines.

New girl in school, pure as driven snow, and she hates his guts from moment one.
Mike wants Miss Purity under him, begging for mercy he'll never give.

When Violet refuses to play ball?

It’s time for Big Mike to get creative and steal a home run.

He zeros in on the new girl.

Now, there’s nowhere for her to hide.
No sassy words to save her.
No denying her hot, longing glances.

Big Mike gets what he wants.

And Violet Raines?
She’s already his.

Break Me by Meagan Brandy ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Rebecca)

From USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Meagan Brandy comes an opposites attract romance about facing your fears, discovering your worth, and fighting for love at all costs.

I had a plan, and it was solid.

Track down what was hidden away and take pleasure in toying with it.
Toying with her.

That plan, it worked like a charm.
Until it didn’t.

Turned out, the feisty little thing I found was far from what I hoped for.
She was different from all I knew and more than I expected.

She was light, and I’m the bastard who led her into darkness.
But this girl... she followed with a smile.

I told her I break pretty things.
She asked me to promise.

Wolf's Pack (Wolves Next Door Book 3) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Jackie)
by Auryn Hadley

Corner a wolf and she will always fight back.

I finally did it.  I took that last step and it was everything I wanted.  My relationship with my five mates has never been better. They've embraced not only me as a part of their lives, but also my daughter, and this feels like the family I always dreamed of.

I don't mean just myself and my mates, but the entire pack.  They call me "Alpha."  No, I'm not the Alpha, but I'm learning how to step up.  I got this.  I'd better, since Wolf's Run has thrown open our doors to more than just wolves, but it seems like my version of winging it is working for all of us.

But not all shifters have packs.

That doesn't mean they don't want them.  These new neighbors might not be wolves, but everyone wants a community they can count on.  The trick will be making sure ours doesn't fall apart in the chaos.

Or get taken from us.

Between the antics of these teenagers, the insanity of so many changes happening at once, and the enemies my mates and I have already made, things are out of control.  I feel like I'm chasing my tail.  Thankfully, I've learned a few new tricks.

Once, I was just the nice lady next door.
Now, this is my pack, and I've become a real bitch.

Note: Wolves Next Door series contains profanity, consensual sex, and one adult woman who falls for multiple younger men. This is the last book in a trilogy.

Hate by Tate James ⭐⭐⭐ (Rebecca) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Jackie)

“Madison Kate Danvers was murdered tonight.”

Those words changed my life, and not for the better.

They were wrong, of course. I wasn’t dead. But I was set up.

After being charged with a string of offences--and made an example of by my political minded father--I’m eventually released back into Shadow Grove with one thing on my mind.

Hate.

Someone is going to pay for derailing my carefully laid out future. Someone is going to catch the full force of my hate. How very convenient that someone just moved into the bedroom down the hall from me.

Archer D’Ath and his boys messed with the wrong chick and they’re about to learn just how cold Madison Kate’s hate can run.

HATE is a full length mature college/new adult romance with enemies-to-lovers/love-hate themes. This is a reverse harem novel, meaning the main character has more than one love interest. This is book one of four in the series.

The Dark Elite Series ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Jackie)

The Vicious Kings book 1

by Eva Ashwood

They say the devil goes by many names, and I know four of them:
Ciro, Hale, Zaid, and Lucas.

My father was once a powerful player in the Chicago underground, but six years ago, he left that life behind.

We changed our names.
Our identities.
Our lives.

The ghosts of the past never forgot him though. They never forgot me.

Dad promised me we were safe, but I should’ve known that was just another one of his lies.

The past always finds you, and mine finds me on my wedding day when four brutal, dangerous men drag me from the altar in a hail of gunfire.

Four men who used to be four boys.
Four boys I cared about.
Four boys I left behind.

They’re not the same boys I knew though, and whatever we may have once been to each other, it doesn’t matter anymore.

Because they’re only one thing to me now:

My captors.

Vicious Kings is book one of The Dark Elite series. This is a reverse harem new adult dark romance series that includes high steam, violence, and foul language.

Fight Dirty (Black Rose Kisses book 1) by Eva Ashwood
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Jackie)

In Fairview Heights, there’s one rule everyone knows. Don’t cross the Black Rose gang. Not if you want to live.

My father broke that rule.

Now he owes the notorious Black Roses a favor, and to make sure he pays up, they’re taking me as collateral. Until Dad completes whatever job they gave him, three gang members will be my keepers.

Sloan, Rory, and Levi.

The boss’s son.
The man with a secret.
The flame from my past.

They’re all dominant, cocky, and hot as hell, and I know from personal experience that one of them is a damn good lay.

But none of that matters. They shouldn’t be allowed to run people’s lives like this, and I don’t plan on letting them get away with it. If they’re looking for a pawn in their little game, these guys picked the wrong girl.

Because my dad raised me to be a fighter.

And I fight dirty.

Fight Dirty is the first book in the Black Rose Kisses series. This is a reverse harem new adult enemies-to-lovers romance that includes high steam, violence, and foul language.

Books 1 & 2  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Rebecca)

Feed by Mira Grant

The year was 2014. We had cured cancer. We had beat the common cold. But in doing so we created something new, something terrible that no one could stop. The infection spread, virus blocks taking over bodies and minds with one, unstoppable command: FEED.

Now, twenty years after the Rising, Georgia and Shaun Mason are on the trail of the biggest story of their lives-the dark conspiracy behind the infected. The truth will out, even if it kills them.

Feed is the electrifying and critically acclaimed novel of a world a half-step from our own -- -a novel of geeks, zombies, politics and social media.

The Turn of the Key by Ruth Ware ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Rebecca)

INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

“A superb suspense writer…Brava, Ruth Ware. I daresay even Henry James would be impressed.” —Maureen Corrigan, author of So We Read On

“This appropriately twisty Turn of the Screw update finds the Woman in Cabin 10 author in her most menacing mode, unfurling a shocking saga of murder and deception.” —Entertainment Weekly

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Lying Game and The Death of Mrs. Westaway comes this thrilling novel that explores the dark side of technology.

When she stumbles across the ad, she’s looking for something else completely. But it seems like too good an opportunity to miss—a live-in nannying post, with a staggeringly generous salary. And when Rowan Caine arrives at Heatherbrae House, she is smitten—by the luxurious “smart” home fitted out with all modern conveniences, by the beautiful Scottish Highlands, and by this picture-perfect family.

What she doesn’t know is that she’s stepping into a nightmare—one that will end with a child dead and herself in prison awaiting trial for murder.

Writing to her lawyer from prison, she struggles to explain the events that led to her incarceration. It wasn’t just the constant surveillance from the home’s cameras, or the malfunctioning technology that woke the household with booming music, or turned the lights off at the worst possible time. It wasn’t just the girls, who turned out to be a far cry from the immaculately behaved model children she met at her interview. It wasn’t even the way she was left alone for weeks at a time, with no adults around apart from the enigmatic handyman.

It was everything.

She knows she’s made mistakes. She admits that she lied to obtain the post, and that her behavior toward the children wasn’t always ideal. She’s not innocent, by any means. But, she maintains, she’s not guilty—at least not of murder—but somebody is.

Full of spellbinding menace and told in Ruth Ware’s signature suspenseful style, The Turn of the Key is an unputdownable thriller from the Agatha Christie of our time.

* BEST BOOK OF THE YEAR* for VOGUE, NPR, VANITY FAIR, and more! *

What happens when America's First Son falls in love with the Prince of Wales?

When his mother became President, Alex Claremont-Diaz was promptly cast as the American equivalent of a young royal. Handsome, charismatic, genius—his image is pure millennial-marketing gold for the White House. There's only one problem: Alex has a beef with the actual prince, Henry, across the pond. And when the tabloids get hold of a photo involving an Alex-Henry altercation, U.S./British relations take a turn for the worse.

Heads of family, state, and other handlers devise a plan for damage control: staging a truce between the two rivals. What at first begins as a fake, Instragramable friendship grows deeper, and more dangerous, than either Alex or Henry could have imagined. Soon Alex finds himself hurtling into a secret romance with a surprisingly unstuffy Henry that could derail the campaign and upend two nations and begs the question: Can love save the world after all? Where do we find the courage, and the power, to be the people we are meant to be? And how can we learn to let our true colors shine through? Casey McQuiston's Red, White & Royal Blue proves: true love isn't always diplomatic.

"I took this with me wherever I went and stole every second I had to read! Absorbing, hilarious, tender, sexy—this book had everything I crave. I’m jealous of all the readers out there who still get to experience Red, White & Royal Blue for the first time!" - Christina Lauren, New York Times bestselling author of The Unhoneymooners

"Red, White & Royal Blue is outrageously fun. It is romantic, sexy, witty, and thrilling. I loved every second." - Taylor Jenkins Reid, New York Times bestselling author of Daisy Jones & The Six

I think I have accidentally stumbled onto the perfect transition from Halloween to the election. It really feels like after the last 6 months we have ventured into a post-apocalyptic horror story.  I'm not far into this one yet but mainstream media being unreliable yeah that fits.  Insane politics, Dangerous Mobs, ok they aren't actually Zombies but...
